Jeremy “Britt” Hatcher, MD

Dr. Jeremy “Britt” Hatcher is an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery, LASIK, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and cosmetic facial and eyelid surgery. A graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and Vanderbilt Eye Institute, Dr. Hatcher brings a combination of cutting-edge surgical skill, modern technology, and a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience. He and his wife Lauren have two little girls (1 month old and 22 months old) and a 17-year-old foster daughter, and he has lived in Nashville for 12 years in the 12 South area. They are members at Immanuel Church in Nashville.

With a foundation built on trust, integrity, and family-centric values, Dr. Hatcher believes in honest and transparent communication with both patients and referring optometrists. He understands that clear vision is life-changing and approaches each case with meticulous care to ensure outstanding outcomes. While he embraces new technological advances and ensures that every patient has personalized access to the range of life-changing new devices (including presbyopia-correcting IOLs, wavelight ® LASIK, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and face and eyelid cosmetic procedures), he is also committed to ethical care and will never “push” patients into upgrades, upsells, unnecessary surgeries, or technology that doesn’t put their individual needs first.

A firm believer in accessibility and collaboration, Dr. Hatcher is always available to support his optometric colleagues, whether for collaborative patient management or second opinions on challenging cases. His goal is to elevate the surgical experience, ensuring that every step—from consultation to post-op care—feels seamless, comfortable, and personalized.

Having excelled surgically in Tennessee’s premier Ophthalmology residency, including advanced refractive training at the Army base in Blanchfield, KY and MSICS cataract training in Georgetown, Guyana, he is confident that his data-driven approach, advanced surgical training, and dedication to excellence will set him apart.
